Pearce Hire have announced that they will be exhibiting for the first time ever at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013. This regional two-day event is the premier entertainment technology trade show in the North of England and is run by the industry trade body PLASA.
'We have watched the impressive development of PLASA Focus as it has established itself as a strong and effective regional event, and we felt that 2013 was the right time to get involved', states Shaun Pearce, MD of Pearce Hire.
The past year has seen significant expansion for Pearce Hire in a number of areas, with an increased warehouse footprint at their HQ in Peterborough. The company has also made significant investments in their product inventory and expanded the team to meet the challenges and demands of a diverse range of customers. All in all this should ensure that excellent service standards are maintained for Pearce Hire's loyal and new customers.
'These expansion plans have been part of a broader company strategy,' continues Pearce. 'And part of that strategy is to expand our rental operation more into the northern market. Exhibiting at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013 is naturally part of that plan. There is no other regional exhibition servicing the live touring and outdoor event industry in the North. Having made significant investments in new equipment over the past year, it is important for us to now increase our brand awareness nationwide. PLASA Focus will help Pearce Hire to achieve this'.

Pearce Hire is pleased to confirm its return to the Showman's Show this month. A regular supporter of the annual exhibition, the team from Pearce Hire will be ready to share the news of their busiest summer ever and talk about their expertise in providing solutions for the technical challenges of any outdoor, or indoor event.
Comments Shaun Pearce, MD of Pearce Hire, 'The Showman's Show is ideally timed as it offers a platform for us to catch up with our customers at the end of the hectic summer season. The challenges and successes of the season are still fresh in everyone's minds and it allows an opportunity for us to sit down and plan for next year. We can review what has happened over the past few months and then act upon it and build on those experiences in order to produce even better events in 2013.'
It has been a non-stop summer for Pearce Hire as they worked with their diverse and loyal customer base including the Cambridge Folk Festival, the Forestry Commission tour, Cambridge and Peterborough City Councils and production companies Media 10, Hawk AV and Mama Bars. On top of that, Pearce Hire has been involved in some high profile events in recent months, working alongside JA Productions. And the autumn is promising to be just as busy.
Pearce Hire's know-how lies in temporary power supply and distribution, lighting, and audio equipment hire, and production and project management services. With the recent expansion to their premises, a significant investment of over £200k in their hire and installation inventory, and an expanding production team, Pearce Hire is well placed to talk to new and existing customers about what technical services they can provide for upcoming projects - both locally, nationally and internationally.
'At Pearce Hire we pride ourselves on the way we work alongside our clients to develop and implement ideas from their inception. This approach means all our customers, be they new or existing - can see how much value we add and how we demonstrate our commitment to each project from the start. We like to work with clients when their ideas are hot off the press, and to help them develop their ideas from that point onwards', concludes Pearce.

Pearce Hire provided a Rigging, Audio and Lighting solution for the 2012 Oxford Farmers Conference, held in the Oxford Examination Halls.
With a new brief from our client, Hawk Audio Visual, for 2012 we redesigned our ground support truss system. Due to a change in the set design we had to provide an additional truss behind the stage so the set could hang from the truss aswell as provide support for a revised lighting design.
Pearce Hire utilised our extensive stock of Prolyte H30V to create a 21m x 10m ground support structure at a height of 5m. The structure then allowed set, lighting, audio and projection equipment to be hung leaving the floor space clear to maximise the number of delegates the venue can hold.
The lighting design for the event included the usual generic coverage of the stage from Source 4 Profile Fixtures and Cyc Floods to provide a dimmable house light solution. In addition for 2012 the white set was lit with i-PIX BB4's from above and below, with small set panel's on the floor being lit with LED Floorcans.
Due to the unusual shape of the venue the audio design consisted of numerous smaller sources rather than a larger central source. For this we based the system around L-acoustics MTD115 XT Hi-Q's and MTD108's all powered from Lab Gruppen PLM10000Q amplifiers and controlled by a Yamaha M7CL.
