Pearce Hire is pleased to announce that since they purchased a significant number of Robe Robin fixtures last summer, they have barely been on the shelves of their Peterborough base.
'It was the first investment we have made in Robe fixtures', comments Dan Shelton, Project Manager for Pearce Hire. 'Once Ian Brown from Robe had demonstrated the outstanding capabilities of this light, we made a significant investment in 36 fixtures'.
'Robe is a universally recognised brand with reliable post-sales back up and technical support. The Robe Robin 1200 LEDWash appealed to us as the 'best in class' and are totally operator friendly. The fixture has exceptional brightness and it is lightweight whilst still being a robust LED fixture. Added to which it has all the functionality our customers require when working in both indoor, and outdoor environments' Shelton continues.
'When we make this kind of investment in equipment, we have to be confident that the fixtures will be a desirable dry hire product, both in terms of an attractive hire price for our customers as well as offering all the functionality and reliability required for short, medium and long term hire'.
'To date, we've not been disappointed - the lights have been used on some demanding events including the Cambridge Folk Festival, the Forestry Commission Tour, a run of IML Summer Concerts and at the end of the year, the 8-week Jools Holland Winter Tour. They have certainly not been sitting idle in the warehouse!'
'There is every reason to expect the same level of rental from these lights going into 2013', concludes Shelton.
Pearce Hire is proud to announce that the company has been shortlisted for an award at this year's Total Production International (TPi) Awards.
These prestigious awards, established 12 years ago, and now an annual 'must attend' date in the calendar, recognises excellence in the services supplied to the live production industry.
Pearce Hire has been nominated, for the second year running, for 'Favourite Power Supply Company'.
'We are honoured to have been short-listed by an industry-wide voting system as one of the top six power suppliers in this category. It's a huge accolade and one that is testament to the professionalism of the team, the kit and the service we offer here at Pearce Hire', states Shaun Pearce, MD of Pearce Hire.
Pearce Hire was established over 25 years ago and offers expertise in temporary power distribution for the live, touring, and outdoor event markets.
With an extensive inventory of power distribution, site lighting and cabling, supported by a highly qualified in-house team of electrical project managers and fully qualified electricians, Pearce Hire saw a massive increase in the projects they supplied over the extraordinarily busy months of 2012. Projects they worked on during 2012 included a full summer of events for customers as diverse as the Forestry Commission and the National Trust, the Cambridge Folk Festival (itself a 'Highly Commended' event at the Greener Festival Awards), and Wilderness, Global Gathering and Lovebox festivals.
'We've been nominated in this category both years it has been awarded, and so we would be delighted to win for the team's efforts over these amazingly busy, but rewarding 12 months'.

Pearce Hire have announced that they will be exhibiting for the first time ever at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013. This regional two-day event is the premier entertainment technology trade show in the North of England and is run by the industry trade body PLASA.
'We have watched the impressive development of PLASA Focus as it has established itself as a strong and effective regional event, and we felt that 2013 was the right time to get involved', states Shaun Pearce, MD of Pearce Hire.
The past year has seen significant expansion for Pearce Hire in a number of areas, with an increased warehouse footprint at their HQ in Peterborough. The company has also made significant investments in their product inventory and expanded the team to meet the challenges and demands of a diverse range of customers. All in all this should ensure that excellent service standards are maintained for Pearce Hire's loyal and new customers.
'These expansion plans have been part of a broader company strategy,' continues Pearce. 'And part of that strategy is to expand our rental operation more into the northern market. Exhibiting at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013 is naturally part of that plan. There is no other regional exhibition servicing the live touring and outdoor event industry in the North. Having made significant investments in new equipment over the past year, it is important for us to now increase our brand awareness nationwide. PLASA Focus will help Pearce Hire to achieve this'.
